An exquisitely plumed hat takes center stage in this Claire Avery illustration, which appeared in the October 18, 1925, Vogue. This style from 1813 was considered the height of fashion in Georgian England. Made of drum-shaped satin and taffeta, it is trimmed with luxe feathers—sand no doubt made quite an impression.
