Frank Modell was born in Philadelphia and attended the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. He has drawn six covers and more than one thousand cartoons for The New Yorker since 1964. Modell is the author of several children’s books and has produced animated storyboards for "Sesame Street." He now lives in Guilford, Connecticut.
