Carolita Johnson is fairly new to The New Yorker. Her first cartoon appeared in the magazine in 2003. Before that, she lived for many years in Paris, where she studied obscure subjects, designed and repaired mosaic floors, and worked in software development, translation, and fashion. Johnson now lives in Manhattan, doing cartoons and illustrations, modeling, and working on her blog.
